Responsibilities

Summary/objective

 

The Warehouse Associate will perform general warehouse duties as directed by the Shop Manager for the given shift. Warehouse Associate is responsible for movement of equipment and materials in the facility – coordinating with various departments on delivery of equipment from Inbound to QC departments and storing equipment on shelves for later picking for orders and projects. 

 

Essential functions

    • Assist in loading and unloading of equipment in conjunction with the Outbound and Inbound coordinator.
    • Responsible for flow of equipment from Inbound to Departments for QC.
    • Responsible for movement of equipment in building from departments to storage area and pallet rack location.
    • Ability to reorganize equipment in various areas for special projects or for Equipment Preps in the prep space.   

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong Ability to prioritize and multi-task 
  • Ability to work in conjunction with other departments  
  • Proficient operation in material handling equipment – including forklifts, power pallet jacks, and all other warehouse equipment. 
  • Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment, lighting, rigging, audio and other entertainment technology for live events and broadcast marks. 
  • Basic knowledge of equipment packing and understanding of case stacking, storage of truss and other items 
  • Ability to think analytically   
  • Organization and high understanding of spatial organization -including safety related to warehouse storage of equipment. 
  • Ability to interact with all warehouse departments and other personal 
  • Must be proficient in operation of material handling equipment 
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, clear verbal and written communication.  
  • Must have demonstrated time management skills and be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced multi-task environment with minimal supervision. 
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.   
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful environment with ability to adapt positively to changes in the work setting with ease 
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and execute other job functions with high attention to detail 

 

Physical demands

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.  
  • Availability to work overtime during peak seasons 
  • Ability to lift to 75 pounds on a frequent basis 
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include frequent use of hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching regularly 
  • Ability to work with warehouse and material handling equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts and other such equipment.

Required education and experience

    • 18 years of age or older.
    • Must have a high school diploma
    • Work experience as general laborer, preferably in warehouse
    • Experience with inventory software.
    • 1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse setting with Forklift experience 
    • Certification to operate Forklift and other warehouse material handling equipment 
    • Fluency in English

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $19.00 to $23.50 per hour. Actual salary to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
