Responsibilities

Service technicians are responsible for providing different services, depending on their area of expertise, and diagnosing problems and making repairs.

  • Identify LED electronic/mechanical problems by use of diagnostic equipment.
  • Test and verify sub-assemblies and major LED system components.
  • Test, repair and maintain PRG LED equipment using set company procedures and guidelines.
  • Recalibrate and verify factory manufacturing specifications for pertinent LED equipment.
  • Reviews LED part stock levels with Technical services manager.
  • Intermediate understanding of control software and operation.
  • Maintains and enters all factory acceptance testing and QC documentation.
  • Maintains accurate parts lists for all LED related equipment.
  • Ensures maintenance policies and procedures are met and related paperwork is in order.
  • Ensures all LED equipment QC deadlines are met.
  • Leads in internal training with entry level personnel.
  • Cross-trains to assist in different departments as required.
  • Leads by example and encourages subordinates and peers to perform work in a safe manner, including the use of proper PPE, adherence to safety standards and policies, and remain accident free.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot LED equipment.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and diagrams.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills.
  • Working knowledge of LED equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
  • Three years of Soldering Skills 

Essential functions

  • Install new products, and test them to ensure they are working correctly.
  • Educating coworkers on how to use and maintain their device.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment.
  • Diagnose problems and develop  solutions to repair them.
  • Order parts needed for repairs as needed.
  • Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed.

Physical demands

 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

Required education and experience  

  • Solid understanding of A/V production equipment and functionality
  • 1-2 years of experience working with A/V equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $24.00-$26.00Hr. Actual rate to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
