Responsibilities

Summary/objective

The Production Manager is responsible for the following:

 

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all production related aspects of an event

Essential functions

  • Develop project teams
  • Lead customer discovery and ideation sessions
  • Work with the project team to develop event concept and event details
  • Develop and track the overall event budget insuring delivery of customer expectations and margin expectations of PRG.
  • Develop the master production schedule
  • Work with production team to ensure a thorough understanding of scope and customer expectations. 
  • Manage customer communication to insure they are up to speed on project development and budget changes.
  • Track all changes and customer requests and insure they are communicated to the project team.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met
  • Act as the main point of contact for the customer on show site
  • Manage the production team during execution of the event
  • Manage customer feedback and necessary adjustments
  • Finalize the budget for the customer
  • Insure successful retention of the customer

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Very organized and detailed oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Have a thorough understanding of live events, especially in the Corporate Market
  • Be knowledgeable in current production trends
  • Have strong leadership skills
  • Have a background in production of graphic and video content
  • Experience building and tracking budgets and schedules for live events
  • Travel as job requires

Physical demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.  
  • Must be able to bend, climb stairs, and continuously stand or walk 25% of the time.  
  • Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds (for example: packages, copy paper boxes, etc.)  
  • Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and in both written and verbal forms. 

Travel required

  • Extensive Travel Required. 

Required education and experience

  • Completion of four years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution of higher learning with a concentration in business administration, hospitality management, or related entertainment technology fields 
  • Five or more years of experience in sales, business development or project coordination in a market appropriate to the position vacancy.
