The Machinist in our Scenic shop is responsible for: 

• Set-up and operation of CNC lathe HASS controlled equipment with minimal supervision.
• Making type offset adjustments to maintain dimensional integrity
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and operation sheets accurately.
• Working at close tolerances and have experience in machining a variety of materials such as Steel, Aluminum, HDPE, UHMW.
• Complying with work rules including those pertaining to the Quality System and safety.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of CNC LATHE machining experience. Or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to program using Mastercam and/or Autodesk HMI is a bonus
• Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machines when necessary.
• Ability to setup and run Vertical Machining Centers.
• Experience on manual milling machines helpful.
• Must be neat, well organized and reliable.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are very important
• Positive, can-do attitude; willingness to learn
• Availability to work overtime during peak seasons
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
• Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include frequent use of hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching regularly.

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $20-30/hour. Actual pay rate to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
