Responsibilities

The Senior Software Developer will work as part of the Scenic Technologies team to design and develop motion control software for use by the entertainment industry.

  • Design, code, test and integrate software
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to collaborate when necessary
  • Assist in deploying software

  • Respond, fix and track bug reports and end user request / concerns

Travel:

  • Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

  •   Comfortable with C#, Java and other object-oriented languages
  •   Familiarity with C, SQL, and Ladder Logic
  •   An understanding of Web application deployment 
  •   Capable of supporting and expanding existing C#, SQL Database and Web based applications
  •   Flexibility to learn, integrate and deploy third party software packages into existing code base
  •   Standard programming and documentation practices
  •   Function as a senior member of the software development team

Competencies

  • Good working knowledge of object-oriented design and data structures
  • Track and fix issues reported for customers / users in field
  • Support development of user documentation
  • General understanding of motion control applications

 

Required education & Experience

  • BS or MS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with programing development and deployment
  • Experience with motion control technologies, real-time data acquisition systems, and multiple software environments
  • Comfortable in fast paced, deadline driven environment
