Responsibilities

The Shop I will perform order processing duties as directed by the Inbound or Outbound Coordinator and the Shop Manager for the given shift.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work in conjunction with other departments
  • Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment, lighting, rigging, audio and other entertainment technology for live events and broadcast marks.
  • Ability to understand Asset Management software and understand equipment status as it relates to demand for filling orders.
  • Understanding of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, forklifts and other equipment
  • Understanding of how to package equipment
  • Ability to understand the time sensitive nature of shipping deadlines, tight-turn arounds, and flow of equipment in the process.

 

Essential functions

  • Inbound and Outbound functions related to all orders and projects in the depot.
  • Pull and stage equipment from warehouse after it has passed QC function
  • Scan equipment for each item – including multiple items in a kit to the proper orders for both inbound and outbound orders.
  • Work with outbound coordinator on issues with equipment that may not be in warehouse. Escalate issue appropriately to meet the time sensitive deadlines of the order requirements.
  • Work with inbound coordinator to check equipment in a timely manner
  • Load and unload trucks as directed by the Inbound or Outbound Coordinator or Shop Manger.
  • Other warehouse functions as need and assigned by the Shop Manager.

 

Competencies

  • Ability to interact with rental agents, project managers, order coordinators, and other key internal personal
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, clear verbal and written communication.
  • Must have demonstrated time management skills and be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced multi-task environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful environment with ability to adapt positively to changes in the work setting with ease
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and execute other job functions with high attention to detail

 

Physical demands

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Availability to work overtime during peak seasons
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include frequent use of hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching regularly.

 

 Other duties

  • Assist with staging equipment and other duties related to a show prep
  • Assist with return of equipment and other duties related to a show de-prep
  • Other warehouse functions as need and assigned by the Shop Manager.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Computer Literate
  • Understanding of how to use a barcode scan gun, portable printer, and other computer accessories.
  • Inventory Control System understanding helpful
  • Fluency in English
