    The Bench Technician II is a second level position.  The positions primary role will be to evaluate, repair and maintain all electronic and mechanical equipment at the component level for both the technical services department and equipment that exceeds the technical capabilities of the general QC programs of other internal departments. Will also be responsible for participating in and executing required software upgrades and hardware retrofits to manufacturer’s products as needed.

    • Identify electronic/mechanical problems by use of diagnostic equipment
    • Test and verify sub-assemblies and major system components
    • Test, verify and repair component level electronics (Drives, PLC’s, Circuit Boards, Operator Interfaces, etc.)
    • Recalibrate and verify factory manufacturing specifications for pertinent equipment
    • Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings (ladder diagrams and schematics
    • Routine use of electronic testing equipment such as Multimeters, Oscilloscopes & Circuit Testers
    • Reviews part stock levels with Repair services manager
    • Intermediate understanding of control software and operation
    • Maintains and enters all factory acceptance testing and QC documentation
    • Maintains accurate parts lists for all related equipment
    • Ensures maintenance policies and procedures are met and related paperwork is in order
    • Ensures all equipment QC and repair deadlines are met
    • Leads in internal training with entry level personnel as required
    • Cross-trains to assist in different departments as required
    • Leads by example and encourages subordinates and peers to perform work in a safe manner, including the use of proper PPE, adherence to safety standards and policies, and remaining accident free.
    • Keeps work area clean and organized
    • Other duties as assigned or directed


    • +3 years of board level trouble shooting and repair
    • Advanced understanding of standard electrical procedures for safety, knowledge of standard electronic test equipment and basic A/C, D/C and digital circuit operations
    • Developed trouble shooting ability, using fundamental electronics principles
    • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
    • Proficient in MS office products: Word, Excel and Outlook
    • HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent
