  • Overview

    The Manager of International and Show Site Logistics will be responsible for the overall management of the international and show site transportation operations. The candidate develops and implements transportation strategies for PRG. They will oversee the logistics for large show site deliveries and international shipments, along with the vendor relationships for air, ocean and show freight carriers. This role will be responsible for the successful execution of all orders related to show site and international freight.


    • Be the knowledge expert for international and show freight logistics for the business units
    • Partner with the European and Canadian business partners on all imports and exports
    • Complete analysis on  customer show site freight requirements and develop SOP's for service level delivery
    • Oversees the transportation strategy execution for international and show site deliveries for the organization ensuring balance between cost and service
    • Identifies opportunities so reduce transportation costs
    • Ensures successful implementation of the transportation strategies
    • Manages the vendor relationships for air, ocean and show freight carriers
    • Responsible for the overall quality, performance and customer experience
    • Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance; resolve problems; and address staffing needs
    • Work with Sale and Ops teams to ensure timely movement of gear in order to meet the customer service standards
    • Builds an open and honest communication line with direct and indirect reports.
    • Interacts daily with the transportation coordinator staff and vendors
    • Ensures all company policies, DOT, OSHA, and all other regulatory bodies are complied with.
    • Manages the relationship with Show Freight Trucking, Ocean and Airline Business Partners
    • Effectively manages staff to drive performance and accountability in all areas
    • Address vendor related issues and complaints timely and effectively to ensure 3rd providers are exceeding PRG expectations
    • Perform financial and ad-hoc analysis to assist with planning the transportation budget and manages weekly and monthly costs in accordance with PRG budgets
    • Works with branch teams and management to drive efficient execution of all transportation related functions
    • Builds and maintains proactive, dynamic communications with carrier leadership to support and nurture mutually beneficial business relationships to improve near and long term network capabilities, and support business requirements and objectives.
    • Supports development of carrier strategies as related to international transportation and logistics and leads the implementation of initiatives that will improve lead-times, costs, and service; observes and stays aware of industry trends for issues impacting our carrier network and service levels
    • Supports the communication and coordination of large transportation projects with Sales, and Operations
    • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge, support and improve existing operational processes


    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education
    • Experience compiling and interpreting data
    • 7+ years transportation management experience

    5+ years leadership experience

    • 5+ years vendor relationship management
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Experience working in a Windows based technical environment

    Able to work varying schedules based upon volume and number of resources. May include weekend coverage.
