  • Overview

    Global entertainment technology company searching for a mid-level generalist to join legal department and become integral member of business.  The Attorney will be responsible for supporting the legal needs of the west coast business, reporting to legal department and business. The successful candidate will provide management with effective advice on company strategies and their implementation, support the legal function, and may manage the work of outside counsel. The attorney will be directly involved in a variety of complex business transactions, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating  a variety of critical contracts.



    • Review, draft, negotiate and advise on all types of agreements on behalf of the company.
    • Advising on contract status, legal risks and legal liabilities associated with different deals which require familiarity with variety of issues relating to: employment, procurement, supplier, purchase, equipment rental with and without services, IT, master agreements, rebates, real estate and compliance.
    • Ability to research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the company
    • Represent company in legal proceedings (agency type proceedings)
    • Work with HR to advise on California employment issues
    • Review and evaluate cases and lawsuits
    • Advising executives within the company
    • Working alongside other departments within the company
    • Keeps management fully informed of pending issues





    • Must have a law degree from a recognized university
    • Must be admitted to California bar in good standing
    • Must have 6+ years of varied legal experience gained in law firm and/or in-house experience
    • Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
    • Negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
    • Ability to work collaboratively across markets, businesses, departments.
    • Good working knowledge of California employment law and business acumen is a plus
    • Perform other duties as assigned
