    Responsibilities

    An employee in this title has responsibility for identifying and developing new national/international sales opportunities for event and/or entertainment projects in markets such as, but not limited to: corporate events, trade shows and exhibits, permanent installations, theatrical production including lighting, audio, video and scenery, concert events and tours, sporting and political events and live television and film. The work involves developing mutually beneficial long term multidisciplinary collaborations with newly identified clients, focusing on cultivating profitable business. This incumbent develops the opportunity and works in collaboration with another salesperson and/or project management team to develop the initial presentation and RFP response in order to sell the business. The work may include the collaboration and determination of product/gear, construction and service/labor specifications as well as design support of relevant operational plans in order to achieve the client’s vision. It is the policy of PRG to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.  Employees are expected to perform all of their duties and responsibilities in accordance with this policy at all times.  Does related work as required.

     

    • Identify and develop new national/international sales opportunities for event and/or entertainment projects.
    • Develop mutually beneficial long term multidisciplinary collaborations with newly identified clients.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of innovative production solutions and provides resources in the best application of products or services to achieve client’s vision.
    • Coordinates initial company technical and service resources to accommodate client needs.
    • Participates in the initial RFP/ Presentation process from inception to close.
    • May specialize in a specific Sales Channel
    • Leads and participates in client presentations.
    • Formulates and implements an action plan to initiate sales opportunities with client. 
    • Prepare and define scope of work with client; to include budget, project schedule, work flow, internal resource requirements, concept designs and layouts.
    • Identify and explore all future revenue possibilities with client.
    • Communicate as assigned relative to project status and performance. 
    • Keeps all Salesforce Account, Occurrence, Contact, Show, and Opportunity data up to date per the PRG Naming Conventions

    Qualifications

    Production Resource Group LLC participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

    • This position involves extensive travel.
    • Eight or more years of experience in project coordination in a market appropriate to the particular position vacancy.
    • Completion of four years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution of higher learning with a concentration in business administration, hospitality management, operations management or related entertainment technology fields. 
    • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of event and/or entertainment technology sales and marketing; Thorough knowledge of organizations policies and resources; Good knowledge of the function and capability of event and entertainment technology equipment;  Good knowledge of current trends and advancements in event and entertainment technology and the direction of equipment development; Good knowledge of modern office procedures and practices; Good knowledge of common computer productivity tools; such as Microsoft Office; Excellent sales presentation skills; Excellent closing skills; Good persuasion skills; Good negotiation skills; the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously within strict deadlines; the ability to learn and use PRG proprietary software;   Exceptional sense of priority; Strong organizational skills; Customer Service orientation; Tact; Professionalism; Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
