    We are seeking an Application Support Analyst in our New Windsor, NY office. The Application Support Analyst is primarily responsible for providing support to users for various hardware and application platforms. This role will troubleshoot issues with various Application platforms, assist with user questions, work with the various teams in the organization, help with data questions, reporting, and general escalations as needed and appropriate. The application support analyst will collaborate with the cross-functional teams on any issues and assist with enterprise application issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Enterprise Application portfolio for Database Management Software, Web Platform Development Software, Proprietary Company Software and its users as a dedicated Subject Matter Expert
    • Monitor databases, distributed applications, and batch jobs
    • Troubleshoot technical issues or escalate and partner with appropriate technology teams to provide solutions
    • Support sustained resiliency, disaster recovery, and high availability events
    • Mitigate risk by efficient and timely incident management
    • Influence senior technology leads across organizations to ensure timely resolution of reported incidents and problems.
    • Implement IT Service Management following ITIL best practices and rules
    • Track, assist and report issues escalated to the cross-functional teams
    • Troubleshoot, research, and assist with applying resolutions for hardware and application issues
    • Document processes, configurations, resolutions and user training guidelines
    • Support the implementation of new application platforms
    • Assist users with report requirements, data questions, and data analysis through SQL

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
    • 1+ years in an application support or applications development role preferred
    • Strong application support background
    • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server…
    • Understanding of the Java/J2EE technology stack and web technologies
    • Scripting languages, SQL experience
    • Familiarity with SDLC lifecycle and Change Management process
    • Applications Development experience would be preferable
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong relationships with customers and application owners
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear problem descriptions and guidance to business users in a time critical environment
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills paired with the ability to proactively act quickly to mitigate risk
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology quickly and work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Excellent prioritization, organizational and time management skills
    • Empathy, Patience, and understanding with users
    • Must be able to participate in on-call rotation to support users for the global enterprise applications
