The Logistics Manager oversees PRG California’s logistics and trucking activities within assigned scope of responsibility including fleet management, supervision of drivers, packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, stock handling, storing, distribution and inventory support. Provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient service to meet current and future demands. Optimizes logistics and trucking utilization, process execution and compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulations. Provides oversight and direction regarding human resource, financial and operational activities which may encompass any of the following or related activities to meet customer requirements and inspection/testing processes. Ensures that orders are delivered/picked-up within time commitments in the most cost effective manner. Completes all documentation and computes freight charges accurately. Communicates with customer regarding any fulfillment issues or problems.

  • Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
  • Oversees the delivery and pick-up of equipment, materials and products. Communicates with departments, responding to routine requests or emergency situations.
  • Supervises and assigns specific responsibilities to all transportation personnel, which includes route delivery, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery/pick- up of all service requests for customers and other transportation activities as required by the needs of the company and the customer base. Monitor delivery/pick-up progress, review driver logs and act as personnel first and last point of contact.
  • Ensures that the transportation group provides excellent internal and external customer service while achieving required goals.
  • Standardizes safety methods, practices and programs ensuring that they are implemented and maintained.
  • Manages trucking fleet and knowledgeable of Federal, State and/or local transportation regulations to include knowledge of fleet safety & maintenance. Prepares documents required for CA Biennial Inspection of Terminal (BIT).
  • Plans, develops and/or implements quality assurance procedures. Evaluates quality deviations to determine cause, effect, and corrective measures. Surveys customers periodically regarding accuracy, quality, efficiency, adherence to specifications and overall customer experience.
  • Creates, reviews, updates, presents, manages and/or contributes to statistical, narrative, financial regularly scheduled and ad hoc written and oral reports and presentations.
  • Assesses productivity measures, identifies trends and monitors department activity.
  • Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.


  • Bachelor degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Management, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in logistics, two of which must have been a supervisory level.
  • Rental operations experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing operations.
  • Union/Labor Relations experience required.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
