    PRG Secaucus is looking for an experienced, energetic, highly motivated person to provide audio technical support for an active top market wireless department in a busy shop specializing in equipment rental and services to Broadway, touring theatre, broadcast, corporate and special event markets.


    Specific skills required:

    • Bench test and tune wireless component equipment including transmitters, receivers, antenna distros and combiners.
    • Assemble and test complex multichannel systems of wireless microphones, in-ear monitors, wireless intercom and two-way radios.
    • Perform initial and incremental wireless frequency coordination plans for shows, events, tours, etc.
    • Provide troubleshooting support for projects and engineers as required and assigned.
    • Assist generally to keep all related wireless rental inventory well organized and maintained in top condition.
    • Disassemble working systems as required upon completion of rental projects.
    • Implement, diagnose and maintain computer systems for monitoring of wireless receiver systems:
      • Sennheiser – WSM & S-MCD software
      • Shure – Wireless Workbench software
      • Lectrosonics – Venue software
    • Assist in managing the repair of wireless rental equipment including the diagnosis of faults, in-house repair and coordination of off-site repairs.
    • Assist in interfacing wired and wireless intercom systems.
    • Knowledge of operation COM120B Communications Service Monitor and NTI A2 test equipment.
    • Familiarity with the preparation, tuning, maintenance and repair of the following specific equipment:
      • Wireless microphones – Sennheiser, Shure, Lectrosonics
      • Wireless intercom – Telex, HME, ClearCom, RAD
      • In-ear monitors – Sennheiser, Shure, Lectrosonics
      • IFB – Comtek, Lectrosonics
      • Two-way radios – Motorola
      • Antenna distros – Sennheiser, Shure, Lectrosonics, Professional Wireless Systems, Wisycom, custom.


    Proven ability in all aspects of the operation, maintenance and tuning of professional wireless equipment including wireless microphone systems, in-ear monitor systems, wireless intercom systems and entertainment grade two-way radios. Must be able to work well in a group environment and be able to offer support when requested



    The preferred candidate will have at minimum a basic understanding of:


    • audio system gain structure
    • RF gain structure
    • RF wave propagation & antennas
    • 2-wire and 4-wire intercom system
