Overview

The Project Manager has responsibility for the planning and execution of event and/or entertainment projects in markets such as, but not limited to: corporate events, trade shows and exhibits, concert events, sporting and political events, and live television and film with a primary focus on LED and video. The work involves considerable client contact with an emphasis on providing project services tailor made to the client’s vision. This employee may make or participate in the sale and may also execute projects generated by another sales person or group. The work includes the determination of product/gear, construction and service/labor specifications as well as design support of relevant operational plans. It is the policy of PRG to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally. Employees are expected to perform all of their duties and responsibilities in accordance with this policy at all times. Does related work as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate LED walls including, but not limited to: unilumin, absen, lighthouse, ROE products.
  • Assist with checking out, packing and loading of complete system for shipment and upon return.
  • Create and/or complete show reports, expense reports, log books, mileage logs, and any required DOT or company documentation.
  • Show site management. Manage labor crews, riggers, and/or coworkers to safely construct video screens.
  • Provide client interaction for show prep and on-site.
  • Examine LED product with a critical eye to ensure the best possible product is being presented to clients and spectators.
  • Prepares and defines scope of work with sales staff; to include budget, project schedule, work flow, internal resource requirements, concept designs and layouts. 
  • Consults with and troubleshoot client’s unresolved aesthetic design and technology issues.
  • Generates and amends quotes and interfaces with financial operations to facilitate client billing.
  • Interfaces with operation department to ensure all design and quality goals are met.
  • Interface with other PRG Operations and Sales staff as required. May be assigned to perform PM functions to support other depot sales efforts.
  • Investigates all safety and reliability concerns.
  • Identifies and explores all future revenue possibilities with client. Identify future sales opportunities and new clients through networking and on-site interaction.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience LED / Video or Project Management. 
  • Bachelor degree with a concentration in business administration, hospitality management, operations management or related entertainment technology fields. 
  • Thorough knowledge of the function and capability of event and entertainment technology equipment (specifically related to LED and video).
  • Thorough knowledge of current trends and advancements in event and entertainment technology and the direction of equipment development.
  • Thorough knowledge of the technical principles of operation and maintenance of the equipment in inventory.
  • Good knowledge of the principles and practices of workplace Safety.
  • Good knowledge of modern office procedures and practices.
  • Good knowledge of common computer productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Good negotiation skills; the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • The ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously within strict deadlines.
  • The ability to learn and use and train other users in PRG proprietary software.
  • Exceptional sense of priority; Strong organizational skills; Customer Service orientation. 
  • This position will require travel.
